Innovation in education could be brought by several means; and one of the important means is using ICT tools, we can redefine the teaching learning pedagogy and achieve the excellence in education.
Innovation in Education Services delivery can come from different practices and stakeholders (1) Teaching & Learning: providing flexibility in choice of courses, migrating from one major to another, instructor led to web-based/online courses, campus to off-campus learning, choice in pace of learning, etc. (2) Use of ICT in Educational learning (3) Use of ICT is educational administration and services (4) Flexibility in funding and resources, fixing tuition fees (5) Multi-mode of selection of students & diversity (6) Faculty exchange with industry professional and vice versa, (7) Joint venture for research with commercial and research organisation (8) introduction of projects on creativity and innovation with sufficient funds from University (9) Over and above a robust performance management system such as Balanced Scorecard, Performance Prism, Baldbridge Model, Dashboard etc from institutional level, School/department level and faculty level with SMART KPIs. These initiatives will make education truely innovative.
