I am going to document group of camel for their phenotypic dairy traits, population data, special traits and later on gene level studies to quantify potential yield for milk, heretability for traits of milk and repeatibility of the milk yield. You can identify the gene candidate or make selection of camel with high machine milkability (better ratio cisternal milk/ressidual milk). There are many other possibilities

It has many possibilities for example by collecting secondary data it is possible to estimate heritability repeatability and breeding value(by the way I have done my M.Sc on breeding value, heritability and related genetic character of cattle.There are different software to manipulate this issues. In addition it is possible to select candidate milk gene using different markers in genetics.We can communicate via [email protected]

I think my husband could be useful for research in this field, since he after his PhD is working with dairy cattle genetic issues on commercial level. You can ask him if he would like to join a research project, maybe as a temporary consultant.
