Do you have a good method for detecting the activity of succinate dehydrogenase?
Hello Yaliang,
for animal tissues, cell cultures and purified mitochondria you could use a commercially available kit, for example:
http://www.biovision.com/succinate-dehydrogenase-activity-colorimetric-assay-kit-7958.html
An alternative kit is available here:
http://www.abcam.com/complex-ii-enzyme-activity-microplate-assay-kit-ab109908.html
Furthermore, there is a recent publication on how to measure SDH activity:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23886887
I hope this information helps you.
Good luck and best regards.
Hi Christian,
Do you know if I can use those methods in plant tissue?
Thank you.
Regards

FADH2 and NADH can supply the redox power and have an important role in the respiration chain. Is there any relations between them or whether they can replace each other in some reactions?
