I came across a Facebook page soliciting for co-Authors and I joined the group. To my surprise, there were many researchers inviting scientists with funding to cover APCs to be co-Authors of manuscripts that had been accepted but requiring minor revisions. Most of these researchers with good papers seem to be from Low Income Countries with little or no funding for page or AP charges. In your view, do you think it's still a good idea to use the H and I indices as a yardstick for good performance in this day and age?
