I'm trying to simulate a LaBr3(Ce) detectors with GEANT4. The dopant (Ce) concentration is 5% (given by the manufacturer). Do I have or have not, when declaring the material components in GEANT4, to include the 5% Cerium??

Hi, in my opinion, you should declare that you have 5% Cerium, even though it may have little effect by Geant4 simulation.
Try runing a simulation in both instances, with and without Cerium. If there is no difference or the difference is negligible you can leave it out, having an argument why. Otherwise you keep it.
Hi，Vasilache's proposal is a standard practice. However, if you don't focus on the 5% Ce dopant in the paper, just simulate that with 5% Ce. Because it is very easy to add 5% Ce dopant in Geant4, there is no need to omit this step at all.
IMHO, depends what primary radiation you are simulating. The Z of Cerium is quite high, so if you are simulating photons, a 5% presence could make a difference. If you are simulating neutrons, probably unnecessary, although I have not looked up the cross-sections.
