Do the shape parameter of the generalized extreme value distribution (GEV) exceed 0.6 in real life application?

If the answer to my question is yes. Then can someone share with me a clean real life data with it's shape parameter greater than 0.6? I observed that, some scholars are saying we are yet to have a real data that fit GEV distribution with it's shape parameter outside the interval (-0.5,0.5). But i am yet to see any justification for such claim.

Yes it help very well, thanks. What confused me is, if I used random generator in R and pass the shape parameter to be at values greater than 0.5 , we still have a random data set generated. May be I don't really understand how the random generators work.
