Do the black micro plate readers sensitive towards excitation between 350 to 500 nm ?

I have placed a 96 well plate in the spectrometer and had performed spectrometer analysis over an excitation of 500 nm. I am trying to check emission spectra in the visible spectrum. I observe some intensity at the results table. I want to know what these intensity levels signify.
