Dear Patrick,
Please find a very good old book in STREAM Analysis (published in 1987). I still use the case from that book in my classes on organizational design as it describes perfectly all problems in hospitals -- absenteeism, high personnel turnover, conflicts between nurse and corpsmen etc.
