Receiving fast information is good but the bad sides are the increase of fake information, hoax, proliferation of disinformation that are easily circulated like wild fire in the social media. This is very dangerous if the person is not vigilant, did not do the fact checking in the first place before attaining the information spreaded and shared the information to other netizens. It is important to verified the authenticity of the information. Apart from the cyberbully, social media can be misused to spread rumours, bad propaganda, defamation and slander by posting defamatory statement, superimposed pictures simply to portray bad image on any individual. It can happened to anyone either politicians, celebrities, or plain people like us. In Psychology basis, it can contribute to the issue of mental health if the toxic vibes in the social media platforms are not curbed. The rise of Internet crime such as dark web, illegal communities, scamming, hacking, pedophiles, porns, extortion, invasion of privacy, copyrights issues, fraud and plagiarism are on the rise due to the bad perpetrator in misusing the social media for their ill purposes. It brought fear and trauma for some people that encounters the illness and negative activities in social media.

Thus, digital media literacy, stringent regulations and digital law need to be uphold in controlling the spread of false information and misconduct so that it will build an ethical, safer and healthy environment in the cyberspace. To illustrate, such education can be delivered by authoritative, authoritarian or permissive parents/teachers. To put it simple, authoritative figures are demanding in intellectual terms, but warm in their social interactions with their children/students; authoritarian figures are demanding in intellectual terms, but cold in their social interactions with their children/students; and permissive parents or teachers are guided, say, by the slogan. "laissez faire, laissez passer, laisser aller".

Research on the effects of social networks in young people has shown, for example, that authoritarian or permissive parents/ teachers tend to give rise to heteronomously moral-oriented children/students, and that authoritative parents/teachers tend to give rise to rise to autonomously moral-oriented children/students.

Needless to say, a heteronomous morality is guided by the ideas of fear, coercion and unilateral respect, whereas an autonomous morality is based on the ideas on equality, cooperation and mutual respect.
