Do Na bentonites differ by their level of effectiveness in sealing water harvesting pond?

I wanted experiment effective way of reducing seepage losses from water harvesting ponds and would like to compare commercial products such as Na bentonites vis a vis locally available materials

Nice to hear from you.

You are right in that Na-bentonites are the best, natural sealants (obtained by mining) for water leakage in water tanks. They act by swelling and blocking the leakage points.

In theory, there should not be any differences in the quality Na-bentonites as sealants, but then you know, various companies dealing with them might have modified the natural Na-bentonites!

Otherwise, natural bentonites should not differ in their quality as sealant.
