Yes, Luxury industry also be sustaionable. George Arkelof in his books "An Economic Theorist's Book of Tales, in chapter (2) "The Market for "lemons": quality uncertainty and the market mechanism,", have been pointing out that ""Bhand names not only indicate quality but also give the consumer a means of retaliation if the quality does not meet expectations" (Arkelof, 1998:21). Thus the companies caring on "health" (robustness) of it brand. So, something that could be provide threat to it brand, must be avoid, ito be eco-unfriendely because, same wuas the consumer can makes reltaliation for low quality he can make even on the eco-unfriendly.
Definitely yes, in fact it more necessary a Luxury brand to be sustainable, you may take example of any such brand, however, these brands must preserve their exclusivity to be on preferred list of targeted buyers.

In my opinion of course, luxury fashion brands need to be sustainable. Now, all company need to be sustainable. Sustainability has always been a consideration for manufacturing companies, however today when budgets are tighter than ever and consumers demand environmentally conscious products it has become a prerequisite to success.
If its not sustainable, then why to invest that much effort and money on it?. Defenitly, the primary corporation mission must include sustainibility. And for luxury brands which are known to be niche markets, they must focus on their sustainibility since financially capable consumers will replace this brand if they found another brand satisfying their needs.
