Cancer is a metabolic disorder which is fatal and it is caused by the complex signalling of different receptors. There are mainly 4 types of receptors and they must have a dominant role in progression of cancer. Is any role evident for ion channel receptors?

I would define cancer as the disease caused by damaged cell cycle. Normally cell cycle controls proliferation and apoptosis. In this sense, if your ion channel is involved with these functions, you may be right in proposing your molecule as a participant in the process of carcinogenesis.
