Do I need to have ethical committee approval for collecting 10 ml of peripheral blood for PRP preparation and cytokine profiling or will I be accepted with the Informed consent form alone from the volunteer?
Extra collection of blood sample(s) for research purposes would, in the U.S, require an informed consent form approved by your IRB and patient signature attesting to the fact that this blood is being doonated for research purposes.
Sunil Abraham, your research question definitely requires informed consent. For details you can check details with all five components of valid inform consent.
I am pretty sure that you need ethic comittee approval, as the ethics committee will also review the informed consent forms you use. As you interfere with the bodily integrity of your volunteers by sticking a needle in them, no respectable international journal would accept an article about your results without formal ethics approval. If you are required by law to seek ethics approval depends on your countries laws.
