Yes, it can be a good idea to apply checks on qualitative data collection to enhance the quality and credibility of its report. Therefore, if possible, agreeing with David L Morgan, before conducting your focus group, you could do an expert validation on the main discussion questions to improve the appropriateness of the questions—particularly if the investigation deals with a culture-sensitive issue. After the discussion, you might also do respondent validation, i.e., giving them the transcripts to review and get their okay.
