As bacteria have capacity to take up the external DNA and some time excrete some part of their DNA (eDNA) which some other bacteria may take up and this way they amplify (if integrated in host). do fungi have any such role to effect the exposed prokaryotic DNA?

Do fungi facilitate some other bacteria to uptake, proliferate such exposed prokaryotic DNA?

OR, maybe fungi somehow contribute in degradation of such 'nucleic acids' by themselves or by co-inhabiting bacteria?
