it depends on the method and your material. For our cell-based C5b-9 ELISA, we use a antibody from abcam (ab55811) for IHC staining, we use the antibody from Quidel. Both antibodies reliably detect human TCC. You will find our publication here on researchgate:

Although the abcam antibody should be specific against both human and mouse TCC, the IHC staining of murine samples is very tricky and not 100% specific (we also found some positive cells in C6-KO mice!).
