I need to extract miRNA from human plasma and I came to Agencourt RNAdvance Blood kit. I know that it's used for total RNA extraction from blood, but some have used it for miRNA extraction.
Have any of you used it for miRNA extraction and what's your advice in this regard.

In fact I am already considering qiagen, but I got a suggestion from a friend and I asked for an advice.

Not sure how you went with the Qiagen kit, but I'd recommend to you Norgen's plasma/serum RNA purification kits. Their columns combined with highly optimised and simple protocols much more effectively capture miRNA, the best kit if you're wanting to proceed to RT-PCR and sequencing with minimal hassle. Maybe you've found that out already! If not, hope this helps.
