Heating option is nice and easy, but large quantity synthetic wastewater may need high energy input or feasibility problems may occur.
You can try by adding sodium sulfite or other oxygen scavengers in desired concentration to remove DO.

What is the chemical oxygen consumptionand the total organic carbon (TOC) of your synthetic wastwater? The solubility of oxygen in wastwater lies under normal conditiones at max. 9 mg/l, the TOC about 800 to 3000 mg/l. The oxygen don´t disturb any anaerobic reactor. If it do anyway, something may be wrong.
