Dear researcher and scientist, please help me, how to dispose/discard the used gel(means Ethedium Bromide) along with tips used in the Gel electrophoresis process?
Best check with your local biosafety officer. Based on the data I've seen, I see no reason why EtBr shouldn't be discarded directly down the drain, but you still have to follow local regulations.
There is no proper disposal procedure, if any of the scientist have any method of Etbr disposal then please share with me as I have stored the gel from the last three years.
