Hi all,
I'm working on a 2D model where I impose a force to the lower part, and then I want to impose a horizontal tiny displacement on the same part.
So I chosen to decompose this model into 3 steps. The first corresponds to the application of the normal force. The second corresponds to the the damping of the force induced waves and the third corresponds to the displacement of the lower part.
Before applying this displacement I wanted to see if there were any discontinuity between each step so for the last step, I just maintained the normal force (It is defined as in the step 2) and removed the high damping coefficient.
You can see on the stress results that there is a discontinuity between each step.
Some waves are generated from the contact zone. I don't know if it is due to the contact definition so you will find attached the definition of the contact.
I wondered if the cause of my problem is the brutal changing of the damping so I tried to keep the same damping in each step but it didn't change anything.
Thanks in advance for your help.
