Hello,

As we know we use same kind of batteries in a storage system. We can increase current or voltage by connecting them in parallel and series connection of batteries. That is if we use same charge controller or DC-DC Converter for both the batteries connected in series or parallel and that share same DC load.

What if we connect different chemistry of batteries in a manner that each battery is decoupled to a DC source using a DC-DC Converter. So here each battery is having its own converter for charging.

Suppose, a system consists of two converters connected to a same dc source but with different battery connected at each output. Converter 1 to Lithium and Converter 2 to Lead acid. Converter 1 can use CCCV method to charge lithium polymer battery and Converter 2 can use CV method to charge lead acid battery.

I am searching some literature for this topic. But I could not find. So, I am writing here for a discussion of this topic.

I am uploading two diagrams 1 with two converters supplying to the same load and 2 with each converter with different output.
