Looking for a dissertation topic but I am finding it hard to narrow it down. I am interested in autism and special education practically inclusive education. I would quite like to focus on mainstream and special education and whether it is suited to all. But I am also interested in how autism presents differently in girls than boys.
Any suggestions on where to start looking or more specific topic areas would be greatly appreciated.
social masking in girls with autism is very interesting and how they mimic their peers (other girls) or mirror one particular girl without fully understanding their actions/social behaviours. Great area of research. Relatively less is known about girls with autism, compared to boys. You may want to narrow this down to a specific area for example: girls with autism in the area of social skills; social language; how adolescent girls navigate through friendships, sexuality etc.
