While processing Single Look Complex images in POlSarPro for Polarimetry, we get images for Shannon entropy and entropy. There is a great difference between the two images.
I would like to know what is the basic difference between the two.Kindly give a mathematical explanation.

Shannon entropy is a particular realization / model for the concept of entropy, which satisfy necessary conditions.
There are variations such as Renyi entropy.
