At the microscopic (atoms), mesoscopic (macromolecules) and macroscopic ('human') levels, the Universe seems to be under the influence of random processes (radioactive desintegration, DNA mutations, dice rolls; gouldian contingency);

At the megascopic level, however, the Universe seems to be under the influence of regular mechanisms (half-life of radioactive elements, molecular clock, mathematical laws; in short: natural laws).

In a way, ot could be said that random processes correspond to misleading appearances, whereas more general, regular mechanisms reveal the deep nature of the Universe.

The conclusion of this reasoning is that our Universe would be fundamentally deterministic.

As deterministic, I mean that ‘everything is linked’, ‘everything happens for a reason’. "Determinism here refers to the idea that the future is dependent upon the present such that, given the present, only one possible future exists" (https://dictionary.cambridge.org/fr/dictionnaire/anglais/determinism).

In other words, I refer to "the philosophical belief that all events are determined completely by previously existing causes" ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Determinism).

In short: no chance, no contingency: only inevitabilities.
