I want to determine the charging voltage and current for lithium-ion batteries provided that their state of charge is known in a given time. It is basically for an off-grid system where batteries themselves are the load and being charged by an off-grid solar system with a charge controller for example in the case of electric vehicles.
I am looking for a simple model to achieve the above objective. Any recommendation will be highly appreciated.

if you are looking for a simple model then a simple RC model is enough but to have a slightly more accurate 2-RC model is recommendable. this will give you not only Voltage and current but other battery parameters such as internal resistance, Capacitance, open-circuit voltage, etc.
