It is known that Richardson extrapolations or a linear combination of different methods can be used to obtain more accurate information about the solutions of the problem under study. The question is in this case the order of accuracy of the method is increasing or not?

Model order determination may be done using the automatic information criteria: Akaike Information Criterion (AIC), Bayesian Information criterion (BIC), Schwarz Information Criterion (SIC), etc.
