Hi guys, could anyone suggest me suitable experimental procedure or instrumental technique by which I would be able to determine the oxygen vacancy present in defected crystal.
what is the magnitude of the off-stoichiometry you are expecting? (I mean, do you expect a few %? less than 1%? a few ppm?)
Depending on the material and expected concentration of vacancies, there are different possible techniques (TGA, neutron diffration, coulometric titration, ...) that could be used, assuming your material is an oxide.
Thank you for your answer Dr. David Berardan. I am looking for off stoichiometric oxygen percentage may it be more or less.
Could you suggest If say for example Mn is doped in BaTiO3 what could be the possible experimental procedure to calculate off stoichiometric oxygen content quantitatively.
