How many samples do you have to analyze?

Keep in mind that analyzing nitrite and nitrate by photometric approaches requires sample preparation.

For a few samples manual photometry (including reduction of nitrate to nitrite) might be an approach.

For more samples you will have to look into automation. For nitrogen nutrients photometric determination might be sufficient, and can be automated. If you need more information, please let me know.

Nitrate and nitrate can be measured using a HACH-DR 5000 UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, USA colorimeter using the cadmium reduction method (Method 8039) at 500 nm and diazotization method (Method 8507) at 507 nm, respectively.
