Determination of air permeability of polyethylene film?

Hi all, I have a problem related to testing the air permeability of polyethylene (PE) mulch film or foil. Can you tell me a method or procedure to determine the air permeability of polyethylene film?

I haven't done this yet, but my first idea would be to make a vacuum on one side and then measure the growing pressure over time. The faster it builds up, the bigger the permeability. Does that make sense to you?
