I'm going to submit my M.Sc. thesis in biomedical engineering about below subject:
1- Detection brain abnormalities by using deep learning in python for eeg signals
2- Detection brain abnormalities by using deep learning in python for MRI images
In your opinion, This subject can be a nice choice for research?

You can investigate brain deformities using 3D fashioned deep learning models trained on volumetric images. There are lots of related works that can be found on Brain Tumor Segmentation, classification and detection tasks. There were some competitions concerned with these tasks where a lot of new models were already got established. You can follow those tasks. But make sure you are very specific what type of abnormalities you are gonna deal with. If it is something like the structural abnormalities then, you should proceed MRI images. But if it is something else than this, then you can proceed the first one you have mentioned above. Hopefully, it will be a new type of research and very interesting, I have a very little knowledge though.

I think those are interesting topic, however to make it more interesting I think you can try to make it more specific to which kind of abnormalities or disease.
Also if you want to use python for processing EEG data I suggest you can try some open source package like MNE (https://mne.tools/dev/index.html). I had used that before for my EEG application.
