Answer should be based on surface plasmon excitation and relaxation of both metal and semiconducting nanoparticles

metal nanoparticle will show surface plasmons, but semiconductor nanoparticles will show excitation and relaxation...btw plasmons are related to the vibrations of free electron on the surface...
