You should probably try silylation, Since your are talking about phenolics, I would assume the OH-group(s) will cause the more serious problems in your separation/voltilization. You may check out the review on metabolomics and many people only do silylation.

                          I will go through review and sir silylation is working fine but i have problem with methoxymation.

Are you sure methoxymation is necessary?

Silylation is a good method for derivatization. Check in the literature. The proposed reference by Dr Beuerle is  ok.

No  sir i am not sure about methoxymation but sir I was thinking that compounds like benzaldehyde if present in sample cannot be derivatized by silylation and will not be detected in GC-MS. So for benzaldehyde related derivatives what should we do.

Thanks for your kind reply sir, Sir at that time it was like my begining and I did not have standards as we just started working. So lil bit confused. But ya you are right sir

as benzaldehyde is a vlolatile so it is detected directly in GC W/O derivatisation.
