Hello

I have a research aim, which is to study depression prevalence among specific disease patients and to compare both genders.

And I am confused with my methodology, so I have many questions.

Note: I am addressing those patients from a hospital database

1-

is it important to mention how these patients are diagnosed with this specific disease?

2-

for such a scenario, which depression scale is the best?

3-

is it okay to do stratified sampling for my study rather than convenient sampling? and how can I do it with its calculation? and is it making my study better "stronger"?

4-

since i am studying patients, is it okay to include depression predictors (income, education level, etc) and outcomes in the data collection tool? or the disease itself summarizes the whole predictors story?

5-

with these in my data collection tool

a- participants demographic data

b- depression scale

c- depression outcomes

what else should I include?

and in section C, is it okay to ask about something like suicide ideation?

thank you
