The field of prediction of arrhythmias for ECG recordings and other diseases from EEG recordings is huge: ventricular arrhythmias, Torsades de Pointes, gait detection, anesthesia depth detection, epilepsy prediction, and so on.

There is used a whole range of machine learning techniques and similar approaches with very promising results.
