Dear researchers. Is there a merged cryptosystem between well known cryptosystem such as rsa and another cryptosystem ?

Dear researchers

I am asking if it is important to merge well known cryptosystems with each other to get new modified one?

Also, is it profitable to do this?

The answer is yes. There are many articles where the authors combine cryptographic algorithms.
