I'm trying to make a reactive compensation in distribution networks but with an automatic control system that can make decisions based on the variables and perform an action on one device for compensation. I need to know which is the most relevant control system for this case and the mathematic model.
the reactive power compensation can be done in numerous ways by installing capacitor bank statcom device & fact device .before installing all these we need to have calculate the data like power loss and then we implement it . the automatic control system for reactive power compensation will be based on data of distribution network ,u can achieve real time data by scada or micro-controller and then suitable operation can be perform on these data . it is one of the attempt to make our grid in to smart grid .a softwre model of smart grid could be search on ieee xplorer .
Normaly the rective power compensation can be implemented by FACTs.
