With a new optical measurement technology we would be able to measure the two dimensional deformation in (X and Y) of a building (e.g. bridge) on several points (10 or more, depends on setup) along a straight sight of up to 100 m and more. The resolution @ laoratory condition is better than 5 micrometer per meter (0,5 mm @100m). Depending on what you are interested, you can get displacement and/ or angle deviation in one setup at the detector.
