I'm interested in the relationship between globalization and psychology. What challenges can psycholgia take here? To examine attitudes towards globalization or rather its effects (experiencing globalization), e.g. for a sense of quality of life?
Working on the relationship between globalization and psychology has been a really great topic and exciting. As you know, the main focus of globalization is the circulation of individuals, capital, services and information easily. In fact, it cannot be denied that it contributed to the developments in technology, communication and transportation. Therefore, we live in an age where daily life is accelerating. Even the change itself changes very quickly. In this case, we see that human psychology is keeping up with it. With the 2000s, the mechanical age came to an end and the technology age took its place. We have been able to multiply the accumulation and progress that humanity has achieved in thousands of years. In human psychology, I think that there is a transition from community belonging to individual belonging. People are now less dependent on the society in which they live, the family and the values that hold them together, such as religion. Especially in younger generations this is more common. The psychology of modern man, which creates a new world with smart phones, differs from classical man. They no longer think in the same way as in the traditional human thinking and turn to different goals. Therefore, as the gap between people decreases, the psychology of the modern man, who knows each other better and faster, is more compatible with the effect of globalization. In fact, I can suggest a good research topic, such as whether there is a causality between the rapid development process of globalization and the psychological approach of modern man and its initial concept of globalization and the psychology of the 20th century. I wish you the convenience and success for your work.
Thank you for the answer and suggestion of the topic for research. Indeed, a question about the relationship between the development process of globalization and the psychological approach of modern man and its initial concept of globalization is an interesting challenge for psychology.
