Hi! What do you mean by “sponsor children?” Are you referring to parents or teachers? Can you plz repost the question by defining your terms? I’m not an expert in this area, so I’m unsure why I got the question. Thanks!
dren with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) develop at a different rate and don’t necessarily develop skills in the same order as typically developing children.Children with ASD can find it hard to pay attention to others, communicate, understand other perspectives, and see the big picture. These challenges affect learning and development. When you understand your child’s areas of challenge, you can find the best ways to help your child learn.

I consider a big challenge for teachers, specially with primary school children. Many of us are nor specialized on this topic, and we don´t have the academic preparation. When it happens at my school we need to lerarn about, we have to look and try new pedagogical tools, new communicative strategies and work together with his or her family. the last one is the best strategy.
Communicating and understanding could be challenging. In order to meet their needs, we need to understand them, assess their sensory needs, and find effective ways of communication. Working with teachers, therpaists, parents and caregivers is crucial to help develop an effective and appropriate individual educational plan.
School is rarely a good environment for children with autism. And that's a problem for two reasons.
First, autistic kids spend a huge amount of time learning how to cope with an environment that is out of sync with their abilities and challenges.1 Then, having struggled for years to build those skills, they then must LEAVE that environment for a completely different situation when they age out or graduate. For many autistic kids, school is far tougher than any work environment — for many excellent reasons.
I big challenge is how to assess Autism in schools. The second challenges is the criteria for assessment of autism is not clear form many fathers and mothers.
The main problems are framed in the teacher's preparation for the characterization of the child and his environment, this facilitates differentiated and particular attention to achieve progress.
It depends a lot on the school environment. For example, the number of students per classroom is an important factor. It can be really challenging for a child that needs a calm and stable environment in order to process stimuli. Also the cooperation of parents (and other specialists that work with the child) plays an important role.
