I am using SPSS with panel data and would need to use mixed models for that.

My first question is: Can I add blockwise entry of variables? If so, how can I do that? I would like it to look like a hierarchical regression analysis. When I use "regular" regression it offers me to add variables in different blocks, but I do not see them as an option when using mixed models.

I am also having difficulties with entering data. I have exports from one country to others measured during a period of a couple of years. My second question is: Should my columns be countries and to then code the exports accordingly to the year which forms another column?
