Hi I am trying to locate some data on the UK banking sector post financial crisis - in particular I am interested in share price, exec comp & changes to their corporate governance.
'Bankscope database' has UK bank data and corporate governance data for UK banks (e.g. ownership data) for post-financial crisis period.
'Bloomberg database' has share price data for UK banks up until May 2016.
For executive compensation, I'm afraid you'll need to hand collect compensation data manually from UK banks' financial reports or from UK bank regulatory agencies (that keep accurate records of cash and stock compensation to bank executives).
If you are interested in a general analysis of banking corporate governance mechanisms at place against international best practice, please have a look on my research paper. It covers various topics of corporate governance with a focus on UK and USA: "Case Study: Analysis of Corporate Governance and Management Control at Kendallville Bank": https://www.researchgate.net/publication/306515523_Case_Study_Analysis_of_Corporate_Governance_and_Management_Control_at_Kendallville_Bank
I hope it may be of help. It was published in the International Journal of Applied Economic Studies Vol. 4, Issue 3, pp. 14-20 and thus can be used for referencing.
