I am desperately looking for data on the number of private households in the EU, AUS, CAN, NOR and SWI starting in 2000. I found some EU datasets beginning in 2005 (Eurostat). However, I am still lacking the data for the years 2000-2004 for most EU countries, Norway and Switzerland as well as the entire time series for AUS and CAN.
Does anyonw know any good sources?

Ich brauche die Anzahl privater Haushalte in den EU-Ländern, Norwegen, Schweiz, UK, US, Kanada und Australien von 2000 bis 2014 (jährlich). EuroStat bietet solche Daten leider erst ab 2005 an: http://appsso.eurostat.ec.europa.eu/nui/show.do
Ich habe gestern die statistischen Ämter einiger Länder, für die mir die Daten noch fehlen, angeschrieben und langsam fürchte ich, dass es die Daten so einfach nicht gibt. Ich muss wohl oder übel auf Zensusdaten zurückgreifen, die allerdings oft nur alle 5 Jahre erhoben werden, und die fehlenden Daten interpolieren.

The data for earlier years can be found from the ONS too.

Whether these sources have comparable data is always the problem when comparing data from different sources but hopefully they are a start.
