My favorite resource for electrochemical testing is by Bard and Faulkner (Electrochemical Methods Fundamentals and Applications, 2nd edition). The large negative current at the left of your curve is from hydrogen evolution, which occurs below 0.0 V vs a reference hydrogen electrode. That indicates to me that your reference electrode appears to have a voltage of -0.15 V vs RHE, which is odd.
