I want to complex some Cu salts, such as CuCl2-H2O and Cu(acac)2, with aminosilane. I already know that the aminosilanes complex the Cu(II) as the solution change colour, but I would like to have a more correct indication of how much aminosilanes complexes the metal centre, the reason being that the aminosilanes could also act as catalysts in the following reaction (namely sol-gel). I've thought about performing a complexometric titration, but I don't know any indicator that I can use. Any hint?Cu

if I understood you correctly:
I believe some instrumental control (namely, spectrophotometric and potentiometric employing Cu-selective electrode) would be more precise in determining both stoichiometry and stability of desirable complex.
I see the following difficulty in using complexometric titration: the complex Cu-indicator must be much less stable than that of Cu-aminosilane for correct determining. However, the stability constant of Cu-aminosilane seems to be unknown? If so, it's hard to recommend the suitable indicator.
