Extracting DNA using CTAB method from 5 months old Cyperaceae samples for molecular identification. RNA bands are appearing on gel but DNA is always degraded. I tried 2-3 protocols but never get contact DNA bands. DNA of other plant types is extracted in good quality with the same protocol and reagents.
