Hello everybody. I am working on a simulation of the phase change with a fill factor of 50% and with only one tooth, ie we are talking about Optical Phased Array. The application is at λ0 = 1550 nm.
I'm not familiar with optical parameters and have a simulation problem:
"
Post-processing result based on the "Effective Refractive Index" model:
Error calling the "EvaluateMultiple1DComplex" function (no dielectric constant data found for the gates.
(ReportError ("No dielectric constant data found for gates.")) (Line: 77))
"
It is strange to me why silicon and silicon dioxide were created with electrical constants such as "conductivity, permeability, etc.". This problem occurs both with constant parameters and with databases loaded as csv files. I think you all know that in fact CST has the ability to import csv files.
I am simulating the structure with a "flat wave" feed and the problem warning says that there is no constant set for the port even if there is actually no constant to configure.
What could be a possible solution to this problem? If necessary, I can upload other data
A technical description is:
• The coupler consists of a silicon waveguide core, a top coating (oxide or air), a bottom coating (buried oxide, BOX) and a substrate (silicon). The actual waveguide index of the plate is
- the lattice period is the physical period of repetition;
• W is the width of the lattice teeth (assuming a uniform lattice);
• ff is the fill factor (or duty cycle), and is defined as ff = W / grid_period;
• and is the engraving depth of the reticle.
