To see antimicrobial activity of one bacteria against other by cross streak method, how much distance should be kept in both streaks? I am performing this technique but unable to get results. Please tell about possible reasons of it
Also tell about the length and width of both, test and indicator strain?
No... I haven't read about control pairs in any article...
Actually my indicator strains are getting mixed with test strains, which i am streaking perpendicular to test strains after 24-48 hours of incubation. I am trying not to touch to test strain while streaking indicator strains, but after 18-24 hrs of incubation i found similar growth like test strains or the mixture of test and indicator strains in the place of indicator strains.
I have not read about how much distance should be kept in these streaks in any article. That's why asking this .
Would suggest to try agar-cup method to see the reproducibility of the results....
