Dear All,

I am interested in using smart rice farming (IoTs) to conserve water use in organic rice farm. However, I am newbie in Crop model and have read many papers, manuals and videos related to AquaCrop to get some ideas to conduct field research.

My research plan is the following;

1. I plan to set up IoTs to automatically collect weather and soil data in small site (0.8 Hectare) to collect input parameters for the Aquacrop model while another site is set to be a control site where farmers can grow rice as a conventional method (business as usual) to compare crop water productivity (Wp) between 2 sites

2. I plan to project future climate by using a climate model to predict future yield and crop water productivity (Wp) in the next 10 years.

Could anyone please kindly suggest to me about the possibility of the above concept? would it be possible/reasonable or not to do that with the AquaCrop model?

Thank you very much

Satha
