According to Dewey (1910,p.13), reflective thinking refers to judgement suspended during further inquiry, where essence of “suspense” is inquiry to determine the nature of the problem before proceeding to attempts or its solution and “inquiry” means hunting “for additional evidence” to “develop the suggestion” (Dewey, 1910, p.13). In other words, there are basically two steps to describe the nature of reflection: 1) no rush to judgements/conclusions/decisions; 2) collect and evaluate more evidence for the judgement/conclusions/decisions.
