Peer review is an essential part of the scientific research nowadays. Due to continues "push" for quantitative metrics of scientific performance (i.e. number of papers published), more and more scientific publications are being published each year. This puts additional pressure on peer review process, quality of which deteriorates. As a partial solution to the problem some suggested giving public credit to reviewers, and websites like publons.com start appearing from time to time. My question is twofold: 1. Do you agree that public acknowledgement of reviewers is a way forward? 2. Why does this metric has not been incorporated into researchgate?
